Local Thread
Local Thread was formed in 2010 out of Los Angeles by two close friends. Created by women and for women, our primary mission is to encourage the simple act of love through honest design, kindness towards the environment, and giving back to local communities. With travel and nature as our muse, each piece is thoughtfully designed and responsibly constructed using eco-friendly fabrics selected with care for quality and wear. We work closely with our local manufacturers who also value ethics and sustainable practices in hopes to provide long lasting, signature swimwear and ready to wear designs, serving the greater good of our planet. Whether it be on sandy beaches, in a salty sea, or simply soaking up the sun, Local Thread garments are made to be loved.

Little Local Thread reflects the women’s collection with effortless silhouettes and soft fabrics for our tiniest loves. Constructed for comfort and inspired by everyday play, our designs embrace the beauty of our environment. The future is theirs, Little Local Thread reminds us that we are in it for them. More than the clothes we make, as mothers, we are reminded that we must bring as much awareness for ethical practices and look for ways to leave a better and cleaner world for them.
